Unique Christmas Party Experience

Trying to organise your end of year Christmas Party for your staff can be a stressful ordeal. I’m sure you are all aware of the pain points; everywhere is booked out, we did this activity last year, the venue is overly structured and move us through to quickly.

Blackbox media skipped all of this fuss and book a day with us. We had a couple of items to address, activities on the day and catering. In keeping with our desires to support other local small business, Debbie organised some of her friend’s businesses to come out and add to the experience.

The day started a chocolate workshop with Monic from Co Couture Chocolates. Monica is an award-winning Chocolatier, curating mouth-watering pieces from Belgian’s finest Callebaut chocolate. In the workshop our guests learn to pipe melted chocolate and fillings, coat truffles and had fun decorating their pieces.

Our very own Debbie took everyone for a walk around the farm before lunch. They visited the honey shed, seeing the steps it takes to get the honey from the frames into the jars. Then moving down to the bottom garden to walk through the rows and rows of flowers. Debbie grows an assortment of beauties ranging from sunflowers, zinnias to dahlia and many more varieties. Finishing off in the top garden (outside of The Acres Studio), is a French Potager style garden in which all of the edible flowers are grown.

Angelina the genius behind Scrumdiddliumptious Catering, made all of the food for the day. Starting off with a beautiful summery morning tea and finishing with a rustic share style lunch. To finish off the activities for the day, Angelina ran a grazing box workshop. Taking us through the process of building incredible grazing boxes and grazing tables. We learnt to start with your cheeses and always finish off with some green – to make all of the colours pop.

This was a beautiful day and the team put together an unforgettable experience.
